We keep things simple. This policy explains what cookies are and how they relate to the Posturian website.

What are cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember preferences, and to understand how sites are used.

How this website uses them

The Posturian website uses two categories of cookies. You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer.

Essential (always active):

• posturian_consent: remembers your cookie choice. First-party, up to 180 days.
• better-auth.session_token (with a __Secure- prefix over HTTPS): keeps you signed in. Only set if you sign in. First-party, HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax, up to 7 days or until you sign out.

Analytics (optional, off until you accept):

• Lets our own visitor analytics count visits, page views, traffic sources, device types, and approximate location (country, province or region, and city). It runs on our own servers in Indonesia, with no third-party analytics service.
• It never stores your IP address. Your location is worked out on our servers from your IP address with a local geolocation database (IP geolocation by DB-IP.com, CC BY 4.0), and the IP address is then discarded. A one-way hash that changes every day is used only to count unique visitors per day.
• If you decline, nothing is recorded. If you accept and later withdraw, recording stops immediately.

The website also uses your browser’s session storage (cleared when the tab closes) to restore your scroll position and, if you accept analytics, to mark the start of a visit. There are no advertising cookies. If we add anything else, we will update this page and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
